Domaine Marcel Deiss was established in the late 19th century by Marcel Deiss' grandfather, and was later passed down to Marcel himself in the mid-20th century. Marcel was a visionary and innovative winemaker who rejected the prevailing practices of his time and instead focused on producing wines that reflected the unique terroir of the Alsace region. He believed in farming biodynamically and using minimal intervention in the winemaking process, allowing the grapes to express their true characteristics. Today, the winery is still family-owned and operated, and continues to produce wines following Marcel's philosophy and traditions. Domaine Marcel Deiss has become one of the most respected and sought-after producers in the Alsace region and beyond.

 

Vineyard

This wine comes from the parcels of Domaine Marcel Deiss  located on the end of Riquewihr (places called Engelsreben and Rosenbourg) conducted biodynamically. The siliceous superficial framework of these soils resting on deep marls, gives a wine extremely salivating, precise, robust, thick, aristocratic and cold in primitive youth, but fleshy. Complete and very long aging. This is the complex message of a vibrant fruit from a deep cold earth.

노즈: 복숭아, 살구, 패트롤, 허니써클, 꿀

팔렛: 적당한 산도, 유질감, 약간의 쓴맛, 약간의 알콜맛, 열감. 잔당.

 

잘익은 핵과류 느낌+ 유질감 + 꿀로 인해서 자칫 너무 무겁게 느껴질 수 있었을텐데, 좋은 산도로 인해서 마시기 편한 스타일이 된것 같습니다. 거기다 약간의 잔당으로 인해서 더 잘 넘어가는 이지 드링킹 와인. 게다가 알콜향도 많이 느껴지지 않는게 장점... 단점은 확 취한다는거 ㅎㅎ
